New Delhi: The countdown has begun for Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone's Happy New Year to flex all over the world with the massive 6000 screens- the widest number for any Bollywood film.
Yes, this Red Chillies production will gear up to reach one and all this Diwali with the largest number of screens.
Yash Raj has collaborated for the distribution of the prints and if a leading daily is to be believed then the movie will hit at around 5000 screens in India and 1000 at overseas.
The Farah Khan directorial is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and has also surpassed Kick and Bang Bang's number of screens.
Both these films had around 4500 screens all over however, Hrihik Roshan's Bang Bang at overseas enjoyed more number of screens in comparison to Salman Khan's Kick.
However, the movie won't release on the Diwali day i.e., 23rd October, the reason being the festival is celebrated all over and most of the viewers prefer to stay away for venturing into the theatres.
It's a good strategy too since the day next to Diwali could bring a massive opening day record for Happy New Year. Rs 30 cr is initially expected from the movie on Friday and anything above that amount would be counted amongst the biggest openers like Singham Returns, Dhoom 3, Ek Tha Tiger among others.
It could be recalled that last year Krrish 3 faced the consequence and got a low response at box office as it released on Diwali.
Already the booking has started in most of the circuits like Hyderabad, Bangalore and New Delhi while in Mumbai, which is considered as one of the most important circuits the booking will begin from Wednesday.
With an amalgamation of number of other stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani, Happy New Year will also prove to be a twin hat-trick Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Deepika Padukone.
While it will be third outing for actor-director duo Shah Rukh- Farah after the success of Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, King Khan and Deepika too will be teaming up for the third time after Om Shanti Om and Chennai Express.
