Mumbai: A team of Service Tax officials on Wednesday afternoon raided the office of film maker Ram Gopal Varma in Andheri here.
Sources said, the service tax department is preparing to slap a notice for nearly Rs one crore on Varma's production house.
All bank accounts of the company has been sealed and the premises was searched by service tax officials.
Prior to this, service tax officials had raided film makers Sameer Karnik and Anurag Kashyap's offices also.
Service tax officials arrived unannounced at 2 pm at Ram Gopal Varma's office in Millat Nagar, Andheri on Wednesday.
