Had the treatment and the execution been better, Satya 2 would have been a decent movie. A decade ago when Ram Gopal Verma narrated the life of the underworld mafia Satya, he was applauded for its detailing and execution. But now after 15 years when RGV describes the future course of underworld, he falters.We are introduced to a new Satya (Punit Singh Ratn) who comes to Mumbai with an aim to reinvent the underworld. But will he finally succeed in building the same fear among the metronomes. That's how the story deals further.Though, the idea is thought provoking, Ram Gopal Verma who since his last few flicks has downgraded his efficiency in presenting a good drama, has once again let down through non-expressible treatment to the concept.He initially tries to build up the intensity, throwing some back-to-back brutal assaults and corruption in society, with haunting background score, which make you sombre more than the villains. But the entire build-up is let down by the characters who looks like they have been asked to bring that forced expressions on their faces.You are neither moved by the assassination of the Police Commissioner and others personalities due to its non-realistic handling. Look out for the bloodstains painted over them or thrown like water.We thought that after ‘The Attacks of 26/11', the camera would get a bit of stability, but once again it shakes, leaving you in a guess mode that who is kept in focus.The romance between Satya and his love interest Chitra (Anaika Soti) takes a backseat because Chitra is only allowed to flaunt her beauty.Performance wise, Punit Singh Ratn tries to hard to give his best shot, but fails badly to bring the intensity except in a few scenes.Anaika Soti isn't given much space and wherever she appears she doesn't leave any impact.Music by Amar Mohile and Kary Arora is nothing to applaud.Had the treatment and the execution been better, Satya 2 would have been a decent movie.
