Mumbai, May 22: Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt was shifted out from Mumbai's Arthur Road jail in utmost secrecy early this morning and was taken to Yerwada jail, Pune.
Additional Director General of Prisons Meera Borvankar confirmed that the actor was shifted to Pune.
The shifting was done at around 4 am amidst tight security.
It was in Yerwada jail that Sanjay Dutt had spent one and a half years of his imprisonment several years ago, and he had wanted to be shifted because of threat to his life inside Arthur Road central jail, where some of the most dreaded terrorists and underworld gangsters are presently lodged.
