The Deputy inspector general of prison, Rajendra Dhamne, earlier in an interview to a daily news has said, “As per jail manuals, prisoners can extend their furlough for the next 14 days and all prisoners do this. Dutt can extend his leave as per rules and we can't oppose his request.”
