New Delhi, March 21 : Lok Sabha MP from Rampur and former Bollywood actress Jayaprada today said she was very sad after hearing about the Supreme Court verdict on co-star Sanjay Dutt.
"I know he is innocent, but after all a punishment is a punishment. I was very close to him and his family. I feel very sad", said Jayaprada, who had worked with Sanjay Dutt for Samajwadi Party, when Amar Singh was ruling the roost.
"We have to respect the court's verdict. But I can say this match, Sanjay's father (Sunil Dutt) served the country in an exemplary manner, and I can't accept that his son can be a traitor (deshdrohi)", said Jayaprada.
