Mumbai, Oct 13: Actor Salman Khan has played the Good Samaritan by obliging to the request of fellow star Aamir Khan by postponing the release of Bollywood flick Ek Tha Tiger.
The flick, starring Salman and ex-flame Katrina Kaif in lead roles, will now be released during Eid festival next year instead of its scheduled release of June 1, 2012. The release was postponed since Aamir Khan wanted to release his next film, directed by Reema Kagti, on June 1 and requested Salman Khan and producer Aditya Chopra to reschedule the release of 'Ek tha Tiger'.
Owing to close relationship and mutual respect they share with one another, both Aditya and Salman were happy to oblige and shift the release to Eid, A Yash Raj Films (YRF) statement issued here said.
Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra, 'Ek Tha Tiger' is based on a story by Aditya Chopra and the screenplay and dialogues have been written by Kabir Khan and Neelesh Misra.
Aseem Mishra, who earlier worked with Kabir Khan for New York, is the Director of Photography. The music will be composed by Suhail Sen. The film is currently being shot in Dublin from where it moves on to Turkey for its next schedule.
