New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was given a clean chit today by the Bombay High Court in the infamous hit and run case of the year 2002. The case which was dragged in court for 13 years since the fateful day of 28th September 2002, might have just come to an end.

The judges said in their ruling that prosecutors had failed to prove charges of culpable homicide, in which they accused Khan of driving while intoxicated in 2002 and running over five men sleeping on a sidewalk in Mumbai, killing one of them.

While acquitting Salman Justice AR Joshi said, “The appeal is allowed. The trial court's verdict is quashed and set aside. Salman is acquitted of all charges.”

Millions of fans are joyous that their dear star has now been acquitted of all charges. But there are many who feel otherwise.

With the verdict being announced, netizens took to Twitter to express their feelings about the entire incident.
