Well, we all know that the flick stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role while other male actors on papers are Kay Kay Menon and Irrfan Khan. So, how and why Salman's name is doing the rounds?
OK, ending all the guess works and speculation we would now like to clear the air. Haider which is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's ‘Hamlet' is set in the 90's era when Salman Khan's vibrant Prem avatar from Rajshri Production ‘Hum Apke Hain Koun' created a sensation and many of his fans followed his sweet appearance.
Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj depicts that massive fan following of Salman Khan through two characters. In this snap below, these two actors play characters who are fanatic with Salman's ‘Prem' appearance and so couldn't bear an inch difference from that look. They dress like Prem and talk like him too.
When asked about it, a leading daily quoted the filmmaker as saying, "In the 90s where the film is set, fan following of Salman Khan was massive after the success of Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!
And many young people sported clothes and hairstyles like him. These two characters, both called Salman, are his fans."
The two actors also will be witnessed shaking a leg in ‘Haider' like Salman did in the song ‘Didi tera devar deewana' in the epic family entertainer that also starred ‘dhak-dhak' girl Madhuri Dixit in the lead role.
