Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced that his production venture “Shhuddhi” will star superstar Salman Khan and it will release during Diwali in 2016.
“SHHUDDHI will star SALMAN KHAN and will release Diwali 2016.....@shhuddhimovie,” Karan tweeted Wednesday.
Salman Khan too confirmed the news to media persons by saying: “I am doing 'Shhuddhi'”
"Yes, I am doing Karan Johar's film called Shuddhi which I would probably start in a while. After Kick, I am going to finish shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's film. Then I have Kabir Khan's film and Boney Kapoor's No Entry Mein Entry. Following that I also have Aditya Chopra's Sultan and a film with Mahesh Manjrekar", the actor said as quoted by a leading website.
The movie which was tossed around from Hrithik Roshan to Ranveer Singh to Aamir Khan has finally been taken up by superstar Salman.
Intially, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor were finalised as the lead pair of the film, to be directed by Karan Malhotra. But later Hrithik announced that he had pulled out of the project.
With 'Kick' coming up this Eid and a series of good films including KJo's Shuddhi, Salman seems to be on a roll.
