New Delhi: Already Karan Johar's ‘Shuddhi' is much delayed that now it has been pushed further. Reason being Salman Khan the leading man in the movie has kept YRF's ‘Sultan' above Shuddhi that was finally supposed to go on floors by mid-2015.
Salman is struck already with two projects this year namely Kabir Khan's ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and Sooraj Barjatya's ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'. And while the makers of ‘Shuddhi' were hoping to begin shooting by this year, the actor chose Sultan to be dealt with first.
Sultan too is in the mid of casting its lead heroine for the flick however, name of Deepika Padukone is making rounds. Actress' name hasn't been confirmed but looking at the prospects, she is probability to be finalized for the role.
Apparently Salman was so impressed with the Sultan's script that he agreed to do it on principle. A few days back when the final narration happened, Salman was mighty impressed following which he decided to start working on this film before Karan Johar's long impending dream project Shuddhi.
Shuddhi, which is to be directed by Karan Malhotra, was initially shelved for its failure to sign an actor. Names like Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh cropped up but finally it was Dabangg Khan being zeroed in for the role last year.
And now when lead actor isn't any issue anymore, Shuddhi still couldn't get rid of its hurdle of postponement.
