New Delhi: Salman Khan is the blockbuster movie maker in the Bollywood these days. The superstars mere presence on the screens is encashed by most of the film-makers.
The actor, who has given super hits like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya', ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun', ‘Dabangg', ‘Ek Tha Tiger', ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and many more, is said to be one of the highest paid actors of Bollywood.
But there was a time when ‘superstar' Salman Khan was paid less than her co-actress in the movie.
Surprised? Well it's true and we are talking about the blockbuster hit “Hum Aapke Hain Koun”. Khan was paid lesser than Madhuri Dixit in the blockbuster film.
This interesting revelation was made by one of Salman Khan's co-actors in the movie Anupam Kher on social media.
Anupam Kher, who is quite active on Twitter, recently had an interactive session with one of his fans on the social networking site, where he was popped up with a question based on “remuneration difference in Bollywood”.
A fan made a tweet, “@AnupamPkher @HeforShe The actress are paid less as compared to the actors. Firstly,Gender Equality should start frm here.Wat u think #AskAnupam.”
This when the veteran actor made a tweet revealing that Salman was paid less that his co-star Madhuri Dixit in “Hum Aapke Hain Koun”.
Anupam Kher tweeted, “I agree in certain cases it is true. But Madhuri was paid more than Salman in HAHK.:)”.
A Sooraj Barjatya film “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” was released in 1994, where Salman and Madhuri were seen romancing each other.
Interestingly, Salman Khan is working again with Sooraj Barjatya after a gap of 15 years in his upcoming film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" which also features Sonam Kapoor and Anupam Kher.
