New Delhi: Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez's Kick is roaring on the box office and with its exceptional reception in India, the movie has garnered a total of Rs 83.3 cr net in its opening weekend.

Despite its release in Ramadan (a few days earlier to Eid), Kick has added volume to the box office and is waiting for Eid. While the opening day collection, i.e. on Friday remained 26.50 cr. in India, it gained Rs. 27.15 cr on Saturday and a whooping 30.18 cr on Sunday.

According to movie critic Taran Adarsh, “#Kick has a SPECTACULAR weekend. Fri 26.50 cr, Sat 27.15 cr, Sun 30.18 cr. Total:  83.83 cr nett. India biz. REMARKABLE!”

Released in more than 4000 screens in India, the film has now become the highest grosser of the year 2014 so far. And while Eid is yet to come, the figures are sure to rise much higher.

Packed with the ultra entertaining elements delivered by Salman Khan and the team, Kick has marginalized a great amount of 83.3 cr. in its opening weekend despite its release in pre-Eid days where, a major chunk of the audience don't visit the theatres.

Though the film didn't click the Dhoom 3 opening day record, which had been stated as Rs. 36 cr in India, Kick is expected to fly much higher in the weeks to come.

Moreover, hitting the box office this week would be Akshay Kumar-Tamanna starrer ‘Entertainment,' that has no competition with Kick.

Sajid Nadiadwala, director of Kick must be raving high on this initial success of Kick and at the same time anticipating for Eid. Salman Khan's highest grosser remains 2011 blockbuster, Ek tha Tiger that garnered whooping 198.78 cr net in the domestic market.

Let's wait for Salman Khan's entry into the coveted 200 cr. club with ‘Kick.'
