This, despite his journey of more than two decades has been marred with controversy.
The year 2002 was one of the worst phases for the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. It was around the time when Khan's films were not working at the box office. Popularity, no doubt, was diminishing.
Even though the actor kept on facing his share of ups and downs in life, his mother remained the strongest pillar of his life.
In an interview elaborating how he feels for his mother, Salman said "I have my mother's eyes though I grew up on my mother's nerves. My mother can actually handle anything. Her tolerance for pain is substantial."
"Like her, I think I have that quality of standing up laughing and then standing up after a broken leg. She once fell down many stairs and we all got hassled that mummy had fallen. But can you imagine, we ran down and saw her laughing," added Salman.
