New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan broke down in court after the conviction in 2002 hit-and-run case. Additional Sessions Judge D.W. Deshpande said: "You were driving the car," adding Salman was under the influence of alcohol and behind the wheels without a licence. He said all charges stood proven.
Salman Khan who faced the biggest judgement of his life today at Mumbai's sessions court was standing alone in the corner, while his lawyer Shrikant Shivade was arguing in his defence.
Till last moment, Salman Khan Khan maintained that he wasn't driving the vehicle on that unfortunate night of September 28, 2002, when the accident happened.

Not only Salman Khan, but all his family members, who accompanied him to court broke down after the conviction. Sisters Alvira, Arpita and brother Arbaaz Khan were in tears in the courtroom.
Brother Sohail Khan couldn't even stay in the court for long as their mother Salma Khan fell ill at home. Even Sohail couldn't stop his tears in the court.
Salman Khan was also accompanied by his exflame - Sangeet Bijlani, friends Baba Siddiqui and Shaina NC.
