New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was on Tuesday convicted of all the eight charges and handed him a five years prison in much talked about 2002 hit-and-run case.

'Bhai' Salman Khan is also known for his philontrophic acts and the biggest humanitarian work done by the actor is through "Being Human".  The superstar has done many good works for the needy people by being associated with a number of foundations and associations. His constant promotion of the NGO – which works for the underprivileged and impoverished – is one of the main reasons behind its popularity.

Salman has even taken to wearing only Being Human t-shirts to encourage his fans and critics alike to contribute some amount towards the charitable trust. Being Human has committed to fund 200 paediatric heart surgeries in Uttar Pradesh.

In such scenario if the court's decision will come against the actor, the philanthropy acts done by him are sure to get hampered.

Judgement in the case is not only critical for him but for several others who are associated with the megastar. According to trade analyst Mohan Kumar, Bollywood industry could suffer a loss of around 250-300 crores, if the superstar gets convicted.

Hindi film industry is sure to suffer a major revenue loss. Almost all of Salman's recent movies have made it to the Rs 100 crore club effortlessly.
