New Delhi: Diwali has been one of the most celebrated festivals of India. The festival has its own significance and one just can't miss a chance to be with his/her family on Diwali.
Like every common family, even B-town is quite crazy for Diwali celebrations. Infact we often see stars getting nostalgic about Diwali.
We all have some childhood memories related to Diwali of how we used to celebrate the festival of lights and so does the B-town.
But when it comes to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, he has a rather ‘shocking' memory of celebrating Diwali.
Salman Khan used to burn money instead of crackers on Diwali during his childhood.
Surprised? It's very much true.
During the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' on ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil', Salman Khan recalled his childhood memories on Diwali and revealed that he had literally burned down his father's whole salary.
Salman Khan stated that once, during Diwali, he along with his brothers as kids wanted to burn papers as crackers. When they didn't find any paper, Salman took a bundle of notes worth Rs 750, which was his father's salary, rolled it and burnt it as crackers.
While Salman's father was expected to get furious on the incident, he, on the contrary, didn't punish them, but explained to them the importance of money and how it's the means to get food in the house, Salman added saying that it was a big lesson he learnt that day.
Well, we are glad that Salim Khan gave a nice lesson to Salman because the similar habbit of burning money might have cost the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star over Rs 600-700 crores every Diwali.
