New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan was haunted with nightmares of the infamous 2002 hit and run case for 13 long years. It was put to rest when the Bomby High Court, a few weeks ago, pronounced a verdict acquitting him of all charges. On the occasion of his 50th birthday, yesterday, Salman finally said that he was happy that this decision meant that his parents will be stress-free.

The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan' actor was hovered by paparazzi the entire day, on his birthday. So, while the actor had kept media waiting after the Bombay High Court order, he couldn't avoid the same question at his Panvel farmhouse, where a grand party was held by his family.

It was obvious that the question of his acquittal will be raised by someone. On this the superstar said, “I am very happy that my parents are now stress-free. I know they have gone to the Supreme Court. I will fight there as well after all life is all about struggling and fighting.”

It is certain, that the prosecution is moving Supreme court to challenge HC's order and this means that Salman has reasons to worry. But, the determination that his statement reflected, it seems he is all ready to take whatever comes his way.

His father, Salim Khan, earlier, had also asserted that it was no picnic for the family.

The verdict in favour of the star and two of his movies; Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo grossing over Rs 500 crores in India made his 50th birthday extra special. As he blew 50 candles, he was showered with love and affection from across the globe.

Just like his larger-than-life personality, Salman's 50th birthday bash agreed with his super-stardom. It was attended by who's who of Page 3 and covered by media endlessly.
