Mumbai, Mar 25 : Abdullah Sheikh still sleeps on the same pavement in Bandra, Mumbai, where Salman Khan's Toyota Land Cruiser SUV crushed five persons on the fateful night of September 28, 2002.
One of them, Noorullah Khan, age 38, died, but the other four persons, including Abdullah, who were injured still sleep on the same spot on the pavement outside the bakery.
Noorullah Khan showed his sewn-up knee to India TV correspondent, and said: "We were all sleeping. Suddenly there was a huge sound, and we found ourselves beneath the vehicle.
We were taken to the hospital, where we heard it was Salman's vehicle. I still have the metal piece sewn inside the knee."
Salman Khan told Rajat Sharma's Aap Ki Adalat show: "I was sitting at the back, and the driver was driving the vehicle with the policeman sitting in front with him.
Suddenly, he saw people sleeping on the pavement, and applied brakes, but the vehicle skidded and crushed the people sleeping there. It was a big torture for me for the last 11 years.
Whenever I pass through that spot, I shudder."
