Salman Khan and Asin got a state welcome when they landed in the island nation to shoot their movie Ready, says a media report.
This is the first Bollywood film that is being shot in the country post the government's war against the LTTE. An entourage of security personnels, at least 50, was provided to Salman and the entire crew. From policemen to army to commando and even officials in plain uniform are abounding the sets of the film.
The report says, "Sri Lanka is in for a treat as the stars of Bhushan Kumar's next film—Salman, Asin and Paresh Rawal have landed in Sri Lanka for the first schedule of the film. The film is also special for Anees Bazmee who has teamed up with the actor after No Entry in which he had directed Salman to a roaring hit."
The report further says, "Anees and Salman shared a great rapport during the making of No Entry and have waited to work on a project together ever since. Once the script of Ready was finalised, Anees could think of no one better than Salman to play the lead."
Talking about his lead actor, director Anees Bazmee says, "Salman is so charged about the film that at times he would just call me out of the blue and ask me to come on the sets of Dabangg. We would have lengthy discussions there."
Bhushan is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a lavish extravaganza. From breath-taking sets to locations, no expenses are being cut for the film. The movie is currently on its first shoot schedule in Sri Lanka and the cast will stay in Sri Lanka for the next three weeks.
