New Delhi: Cricketer Rohit Sharma toady entered the nuptial bond today with fiancé Ritika Sajdeh at Hotel Taj Lands situated in Bandra West Mumbai.
After Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, he is the fourth cricketer to get married this year. Interestingly, cricketer Robin Uthhapa and Yuvraj Singh have also got engaged in last quarter of 2015.
Rohit Sharma's wedding, which was a half-day affair, solemnised at the poolside of Mumbai five star and will be followed by a reception tonight.
While Rohit donned a traditional outfit designed by Raghavendra Rathore for the wedding, he will sport a Troy Costa suit for the reception.
Rohit's wedding was attended by some VVIP guests. The guests list includes names like PM Narendra Modi, Ambani family, Sachin Tendulkar and some other special people. Notably, during the Delhi Test, Rohit had specially isited PM Modi to invite him for the wedding.
The wedding guests that have already checked in, include Yuvraj Singh, his fiancee Hazel Keech and mother Shabnam Singh, Suresh Raina, Umesh Yadav and his wife Tanya.
The musical evening will be held on December 14, the next day of wedding. Ritika's brother Kunal has organized the sangeet ceremony, which usually happens a day before marriage, at the St. Regis hotel in Mumabi.
Rohit, who is an animal rights activist, has included a message from Ritika's pet Magic on their musical evening invite.
Rohit, a right hand batsman, and Ritika, a sports event manager, were engaged in May. Rohit knows Ritika for the last six years as she has been managing his cricket engagements.
He proposed to her at the Borivali Sports Club in Mumbai on April 28, two days before his birthday. And today the couple enter the matrimony in a private affair.
