Mumbai, Aug 29 : Director Abhishek Kapoor, who shot to fame with ‘Rock On', will soon be seen wielding the megaphone for Ekta Kapoor.
Abhishek established himself as a director with Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘Rock On', which also earned him awards in the several categories including best film, director, debut actor and actress awards.
There is a buzz in B-town that Abhishek will be making an intense love story for Ekta Kapoor's home production Balaji Motion Pictures.
“Yes he (Abhishek Kapoor) would be directing a film for us. But it is too early to talk about anything. Things are at a nascent stage, nothing has been finalised yet as to what project it will be. Both the parties are keen on working with each other,” Balaji Motion Pictures CEO Tanuj Garg told PTI.
Tanuj refused to divulge details about the project. Abhishek, who has adapted Chetan Bhagat's book ‘3 Mistakes of My Life' for his big screen venture ‘Kai Po Che', is presently giving final touches to the film.
The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput of popular TV serial ‘Pavitra Rishta', ‘Love Sex and Dhokha' actor Raj Kumar Yadav, TV actor Amit Sadh and ‘Aisha' film actress Amrita Puri.
A sports film, ‘Kai Po Che' is set to release in January next year.
