Bollywood hottie Riya Sen threw a tantrum and refused to shoot for her film A Strange Love Story (earlier titled Jennifer) until she was given clothes worth Rs 3 lakh for her scenes, which the producer Suresh Gupta bought, reports Mumbai Mirror,
According to Gupta, Riya gave him a horrid time on the sets. “She had certain absurd demands. She even wanted to be in high spirits everyday before she faced the camera,” Gupta alleged.
Realising that Riya was refusing to budge, Gupta went to lodge a complaint at CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes Association) office. “But I was shocked to see that Riya was already sitting there when I reached the CINTAA office. There, she shed some tears and said that I had been rude to her.”
And then? “The rift is far from solved. At the CINTAA office, Riya told me that she would shoot for the remaining portion of the film on September 7, 8 and 9. Now she is sending me messages that she won't comply until she gets the clothes which she wore in all her scenes so far.
Why should I give her those dresses? They don't belong to her. That's production property and will remain so.
I definitely need Riya for one song, but I think there is no other alternative than to do some cheat shoot or use a Riya duplicate.”
Riya refused to take Mumbai Mirror's calls. She was then a text message, to which she replied, “Eid Mubarak”.
