Mumbai: Bollywood actress Richa Chadda feels that star kids enjoy more tolerance and less scrutiny as compared to others. She has worked in films like ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!' and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur' but she feels that she is more susceptible to criticism than younger actresses who come from filmy families.
While speaking to The Navbharat Times, Richa said that even audience likes star kids more than the outsiders.
Richa's next film ‘Main aur Charles' is ready for release on March 13. Based on the life of conman and bikini killer Charles Sobhraj, the film is set in 1980s. Richa took help of her mother to prepare for the role, especially on the costumes and make-up. She will be playing a student who meets Charles in Tihar Jail.
The ‘Tamanchey' actress is currently working on Sudhir Mishra's ‘Aur Devdas'. Talking about the film Richa says that she plays a very strong character in the film. Richa will portray Paro, inspired from Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel Devdas.
Richa will have a very busy year with another film ‘Cabaret' in pipeline. She will be playing a bold cabaret girl in the film. Ex-cricketer Sreesanth is to make his Bollywood debut with the Pooja Bhatt directorial.
Filmfare Award winning actress Richa's choice of films are not like other actresses. She says that she likes challenging roles where she has much scope for acting and less singing and dancing.
