New Delhi: A sense of fresh air engulfed as soon as Rekha entered the set of 'Comedy Nights with Kapil'.
Veteran actress Rekha, exudes a sense of awe, every time she comes on screen. But this time she appeared on small screen, barring a few awards nights, where we get to see her sizzle in those gold 'kanjivarams' and red lips.
Rekha had a great time every character of ‘Comedy Nights....'. She was joined by veteran actor Randhir Kapoor who played Rekha's husband in the film.
Rekha not only let her hair down on the show, she also sang several songs including Aapki aankhon mein, Salaam-e-Ishq, Rang bare se, Ghoom hain kisi ke pyaar main and the Super Nani title track.
She had especially brought along her harmonium, which she played while singing. As a quoted by a daily, as source says, "Rekha has that harmonimum for 30 years now.
The actress who was seen enjoying the show told Kapil that it was the first time, she was seeing herself in that avatar because usually she is quiet and keeps to herself.
She also got emotional when she sang the Super Nani title track.
She said that she had been brought up by her nani and remembers her fondly.
Sumona Chatterjee who plays Kapil Sharma's wife on the show hugged Rekha as she came on the stage. Gutthi and Palak entertained Rekha on the show.
Sharman Joshi who also plays a pivotal role in the film accompanied her along with actress Shweta Kumar to promote ‘Super Nani'.
Dadi also got a an affectionate hug from Rekha.Kapil and Rekha also crooned on stage for the audience. On the sets of 'Comedy Nights With Kapil', Rekha's look was stunning.
The actress, who turns 60 on October 10, also celebrated her birthday in advance along with the cast of the comedy show including Kapil Sharma, Ali Asgar, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sumona Chakravarti, Sunil Grover and Kiku Sharda.
Looking sensational in a Kancheepuram silk saree, Rekha carried her look to perfection. She wrapped her fine figure with 9 yards of silk and posed for the camera stylishly.
The glow of her saree was exceptional making the diva stand out!
