Pune: What could be a better way to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi than this! The makers of upcoming film of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone utilized the occasion to launch the first song of their movie ‘Gajanana' (which means Lord Ganesh).
The interesting part was the way they launched the song. Unlike others, they did not launch it in closed-door studios or in a party but they made it so grand that the event made it to Guinness Book of World Records.
With the help of around 5000 school students of Pune and a crew of around 100 people, they had converted an entire stadium into one large size mosaic figure of Lord Ganesha. (See pic) And this turned out to be a largest human formation of a mosaic image of Lord Ganesha, something that made it a world record.
No, it wasn't as easy as it is thought to be. Watch the video here. Such was the fervour, the zeal amongst the participants, the makers and especially in Ranveer and Deepika that it turned out to be more fruitful than they could have thought. Seems as if Bappa blessed them for their efforts!
The film which stars Priyanka Chopra also along with Ranveer and Deepika will hit the theatres on December 18, 2015. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali venture is based on the story of Baji Rao I, the second Peshwa of the Maratha empire and his second wife Mastani.
