New Delhi: Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji who was expecting her first child with husband Aditya Chopra has given birth to a baby girl today.
The actress was shifted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai last night where she delivered the baby.
While the entire Chopra family is quite happy with the arrival of this little bundle of joy, they have named the girl ‘Adira' which is a combination of Aditya and Rani
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was the first one to break this news on micro-blogging site Twitter as he congratulated the new parents.
Rishi tweeted, “Rani and Aditya Chopra become proud parents to a baby girl named Adira. Congratulations!”
Soon after Uday Chopra too made an official announcement on Twitter as he tweeted, “IT'S A GIRL!!!!!”
Rani had married Aditya Chopra in April 2014. She was expected to deliver their first child in January 2016 and there were speculations about her going abroad for the delivery.
Infact, Aditya Chopra had reportedly announced his next project, Befikre, starring Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor, which would be a gift to his wife Rani and the newly born child on her first birthday.
Well, this is indeed a time of big celebration for the Chopra family as they welcome this little angel. We wish Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra heartiest congratulations on being blessed with a baby girl!
