Cinema acts as a social mirror, simulating events and incidents that happen in human society. The quality of Indian cinema as per yesteryear's actor Randhir Kapoor has just technically improved but the content has taken a back seat, “ we are technically today matching Hollywood, what we now need are more screenplay writers. There are so many great novelists and authors in the country but for some reason they all shy away from the celluloid.” He also added that, “cinema reflects the society today”.
Vinod Khanna went one step further, “The quality of cinema hasn't improved, people today just want to be entertained, but they show what people want to see”.
