Filmgoers will see Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra kissing for the fourth time (separately) and together for the first time on screen.
Ranbir had smooched Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Minnisha Lamba on screen, while Priyanka had done this with Akshay, Akshya again and Shahid Kapur.
The kiss in Sajid Nadiadwala's Anjaana Anjaani was shot in Bangkok. The two are supposed to shoot in New York this Christmas. Directed by Siddharth Anand, this film is the first pairing of the two actors.
Says a source, "There was an internal joke within the unit that Siddharth would definitely have a kiss written into the script as he made Ranbir kiss three gals in their film film together -- Bachna Ae Haseeno, so it was kind of a given."
While rumour mills are working overtime about a blooming Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra chemistry, the lady herself is upset about the whole thing.
Setting the record straight with After Hrs, Priyanka declared she doesn't even know Ranbir personally.
"I only share a co-actors equation with Ranbir. He's a very talented actor and though he has had only a few years of experience as an actor, he's maturing very fast and doing some really good work. I've always been rumoured to be dating my co-stars, but it doesn't affect me, but the latest about Ranbir and me being together is really ridiculous," said Priyanka.
Priyanka, who's been lately linked to Harman Baweja and then Shahid Kapoor, adds: "I don't know Ranbir on a personal level — I have only interacted with him on a professional level. When I meet someone I'm sure about, I'll let the world know. So there's no reason to jump the gun. I'm sure people who read such news will notice that we are working together and gossip will emerge — but that doesn't mean they are all true."
However the source adds, "Despite not knowing each other, Ranbir and PC's on-screen chemistry is amazing. They'd met and interacted at partied before but never sat down and really talked. So it was almost like their first meeting on the set. They are both very professional and did lot of readings for their romantic scenes. Also they hung out and spent some time getting to know each other before the shoot began."
Even though they have shot one kissing scene for now, one more might pop up during their New York schedule later this month as well.
"The script demands they get flirty and there's a scene that will shot at Times Square at New Year's Eve which has them getting cosy."
