New Delhi: It's finally time to rejoice for Ranbir Kapoor as the actor's latest release Tamasha has fetched up good numbers in the opening weekend. With all the love and appreciation coming in for his performance he is definitely in a happy space.

At the recently held Tamasha's success bash, Ranbir talked about how audience is the ultimate king behind making and breaking an actor's career.

Interacting with the media, he said, “You can never challenge the audience, audience is king. I remember when a film of mine ‘Rocket Singh' had released and I was really disappointed that nobody went to see it.”

“But later in life, as you grow older, you realize that you cannot challenge an audience, what they say, is their verdict. If some people have not liked the film, you have to accept it,” the Rockstar actor added further.

He praised his director Imtiaz Ali and co-star Deepika Padukone for their respective works and gave them full credit for Tamasha's good show.

Being completely honest towards his film, he also said that Tamasha needs to sustain well in the weekdays and put up good numbers in order to be called a success.

Tamasha came as a much needed respite for the actor after the debacle of his last few films Besharam, Roy, and Bombay Velvet. Though, the response has been sort of mixed for the film but Ranbir's performance has impressed each and everyone, again proving the actor's immense talent.

He said, “I had never gone anywhere; I was still working in the same way. Just because my films didn't work doesn't mean that I disappeared somewhere, I was here. ‘Jeena yahan marna yahan iske siva jaana kaha'.”
