Gurgaon: Dera Sacha Sauda sect leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim Friday entertained his followers here by performing some scenes from his debut movie "MSG - The Messenger of God" even as the film's high profile premiere was postponed.
The Dera chief sang songs and delivered dialogues from the movie at Leisure Valley Ground here.
The movie's premiere was postponed till Sunday even as the sect authorities claimed they had received the formal letter of approval for release of the film.
Earlier in the day, Indian National Lok Dal workers and the party's student wing Indian National Student Organisation activists were detained by police while they were heading towards the ground at Sector 29.
The protesters were holding black flags and shouting slogans.
Police commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk told IANS: "The followers of Dera Sacha Soda, who has gathered to watch the screening of the movie, left the Leisure Valley ground late in the evening."
