Sanjay Leela Bhansali who has narrated, edited, composed and finally directed Ram Leela to give his all-round impression goes cluttered with the concept. Though we have many things to admire but the final product weakens the whole prep which sets off in a village in Gujarat.
A five hundred years old rivalry between two families is still prevalent and so they have their bullets ready to answer each other. Ram (Ranveer Singh) and Leela (Deepika Padukone) who are from those families fall in love with each other at the occasion of Holi and there follows some flirting, chasing, teasing and intimacy between them. But will their families agree to their relationship? That is how the story deals further.
Bhansali builds up the intense chemistry between his Ram and Leela which already has created quite a buzz all around. He never misses a frame to emote us through his characters, which are wilder than any other onscreen couple. There is one scene where Ranveer ventures into Deepika's room and they get busy. The conversation is poetic with a pinch of intimacy. You love the episode and expect more of it. In the first half there are many of those but they diminish in the second half.
