New Delhi, Oct 4: Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant lashed out at BJP supporters for conducting mock wedding of Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal with her in Kanpur on Thursday over his 'sexist' remarks.
They organized a wedding procession with posters of Sriprakash Jaiswal and Rakhi Sawant and danced on the streets of the city.
Speaking to India TV, Rakhi demanded an unconditional apology from the BJP for this act.
Addressing a soiree of poets, Jaiswal had remarked that victory and women are alike, both lose charm with the passage of time.
He had said this while asking the participants at the event to hail the victory of Indian cricket team over Pakistan in the Super Eight stage match of ICC World T20 tourney in Sri Lanka.
This off-the-cuff remark drew ire of women organisations, which branded it as 'sexist' and demanded Jaiswal must apologise.
On his part, Jaiswal contended that he had been quoted out of context.
