The historical drama, produced by Rajini's daughter Soundarya and Eros, written by K S Ravikumar, is Rajini's first film after his long and serious brush with illness. But Kochadaiyaans sheer scale and the stars unstable health had led to the film missing its August 2012 deadline.
Ravi also hints about a combat scene between Rajini and Deepika, who plays a princess, which is considered to be one of the high points in the film and will look stunning onscreen.
Rajnikanth has also sung a track set to tune by A R Rahman.It was Soundaryas idea, reveals Ravikumar.
