New Delhi: Rajinikanth's popularity knows no boundaries. The craze for his movies can give any Tollywood superstar in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana a run for their money.

Rajini mania is at its peak in these regions this Friday as his much-awaited film "Lingaa" opens to an earth-shattering response at the AP and Telangana Box office.

"Lingaa" is the most-talked-about and highly-anticipated movie of the year 2014. Its promos hiked the viewers' expectations and curiosity sky high. The makers of the film threw open ticket bookings well in advance and the movie registered very good advance booking for its opening day.

However, 1st Day Box Office Collection of Lingaa is around Rs. 10-11 Crore (approx.) The latest film released last week on Box Office i.e. Action Jackson has performed just average.

Early reports emerging from the US indicate that "Lingaa" has got never-before response for advance booking and the Tamil film is expected to come out with a stunning numbers at collection centres. Even in Singapore, the film has done well in 28 screens.

Thus, Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa Overseas Collection is Rs. 4 Crore (approx.) Moreover, domestic box office collection made by Lingaa is Rs. 10 Crore (approx.) making Lingaa Worldwide Grossing to Rs. 14 Crore (approx.)

well, it would be interesting to know that what will be Box Office result of Rajinikanth's Lingaa this weekend.

"Lingaa" has been released in 3000 screens worldwide. The film has been released in 600 screens in Tamil Nadu, 750+ in Andhra Pradesh, 215+ in Kerala, 375 in North India, 200 in Karnataka and 1000 overseas in multiple versions.

The interesting part of the story is that in Chennai and Bangalore, multiplexes have completely dedicated their screens to "Lingaa".

Going by the advance booking response, "Lingaa" is most likely to surprise traders with record collections in the two regions.

In Chennai, many single screens started early morning shows to meet the demand for tickets.

The house-full boards in-front of theatres were a common scene for the morning and matinee shows.
