Mumbai: Former Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna will be discharged from hospital in the next two to three days, his estranged wife Dimple Kapadia told mediapersons here today.
“Rajesh is singing Mere sapnon ki raani kab aayegi tu (the famous Aradhana tune) on his sick bed”, said Dimple.
Rajesh Khanna has been admitted to Mumbai's Lilawati Hospital since June 23 after he was afflicted by a disease, which his doctors prefer to keep it as a mystery.
The 69-year-old actor had complained of exhaustion and weakness and he is presently a frail picture of his old self.
”He is still in hospital. He is fine and stable. He is in a special room on 11th floor of the hospital,” hospital sources told reporters.
The day Khanna was admitted, Dimple had said that the veteran actor would be discharged in a day or two but now it has been 12 days since he is recuperating at the hospital.
In April this year, Khanna was admitted to Lilavati hospital for three-four days after he complained of uneasiness and exhaustion.
Recently, Rajesh Khanna appeared in his first television ad for Havell‘s fan, which was directed by R Balki.
