New Delhi: 2015 has been the year of divas in Bollywood. Be it Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra or Kangana Ranaut, the ladies have indeed proved themselves on the silver screen.

Infact, not just in Bollywood, the actresses also came out to speak their mind and proved that they are a lot more than a mere pretty face.

However, despite being putting in so much of efforts in the industry, there comes a time when a person feels that he/she is not getting what they actually deserve.

And this is what Priyanka Chopra feels when it comes to pay disparity in the glam industry.

The diva had a very hectic schedule this year and was quite overworked too. While the actress gave two films to Bollywood – ‘Dil Dhadakne Do' and ‘Bajirao Mastani'; she made a remarkable Hollywood debut with American series ‘Quantico'.

However, Priyanka feels that she doesn't get paid enough for the work she does.

During an interview with Bollywoodlife, Priyanka was asked about how she will describe 2015 for her to which she replied "Overworked". And when she was asked if she was underpaid in the industry to which she added, “And underpaid! Whenever I say that, everyone is like, ‘Yeh purana ho gaya'. I don't talk about payments, my art is too deep for me. I work so much that I am not apologetic about what I get paid. Everybody should be compensated for the work they do and renumeration are meant for that. But for me, my work is my spirituality. When I get on to a set, it's bigger than me and everyone else. I am an entertainer. I thought I was made to be an engineer but clearly not; I love my job! I love the fact that characters are written for me, that filmmakers come to me and tell me, ‘This role was written keeping you in mind. Please do it!'”

Well, this is not the first time she has spoken about the pay disparity issue and infact, she is not the only one to talk about the issue. Earlier Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar and several other celebs have also been vocal about the issue.

At present, Priyanka Chopra is basking in the glory of Bajirao Mastani and has planned to head out for a five-day holiday after three years for the New Year.
