New Delhi: Rejoining her ‘Fashion' director Madhur Bhandarkar, actress Priyanka Chopra will now be seen portraying the role of a politician in his upcoming titled ‘Madam Jee' based on politician Jayalalithaa.
No wonder this election season is full of surprises and Bollywood is just adding to more it.
While today's release ‘Gulab Gang' has Juhi Chawla playing a cunning politician, the upcoming flicks namely ‘Bhootnath Returns' and ‘Youngistaan' will also focus on election scenario.
Now Bhandarkar, who remained untouched with political issues in his flicks until now, has become more or less inspired to make one with it.
Also what seems more interesting is the fact that Madhur, who is known for never recasting his leading ladies, might give this rule of his amiss by roping in Priyanka Chopra for his next.
Though, Deepika Padukone and Vidya Balan were also in the race for ‘Madam Jee' but Priyanka was finally zeroed in for the lead role.
The actress is currently busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's biopic on boxer Mary Kom. Also she has Prabhu Deva's next opposite Saif Ali Khan and Zoya Akhtar's ‘Dil Dhadakne Do'.
After it's all wrapped, she will join Madhur, most probably next year.
