Bareilly, May 16 : Though Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra made her move to Mumbai more than a decade ago, the Bollywood superstar and her family members are still a part of the voters' list here.
The 28-year-old is registered as a resident of Kunwarpur Mohalla along with her parents, Ashok Chopra and Madhu Chopra, Municipal Corporation officials confirmed.
The National award winning actress is named as a resident of house number 13 in ward number 35, despite the fact that she and her family left Bareilly 11 years ago.
The matter figured during municipal polls in 2006 but the names were kept on after officials argued that Priyanka's father had not got his name registered in the Mumbai voter's list.
Now Sub Divisional Magistrate Amarpal Singh has said that the matter will be probed as the persons named on the voter list had shifted to another place.
After winning the Miss World crown in 2000, Chopra relocated with her family to Mumbai, in a bid to advance her acting and modelling career. PTI
