New Delhi: Preity Zinta has spilled the beans about her relationship with cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
The actress has lashed out at a leading daily who stated her name in a report titled “Bollywood Divas who Dated Yuvraj Singh…”
The news-piece has stated the names of Kim Michelle Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, Riya Sen, Preeti Jhangiani, Aanchal Kumar, Neha Dhupia, Minissha Lamba and Anusha Dandekar as the Bollywood ladies who have been in a relationship with the popular cricketer.
While Preity has shown a stringent stance over the usage of her name in the write-up, she has also taken the name of the daily in her tweet. Her post reads “Dear Media (Specially International Business times) HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE 2 SAY THAT I HAVE NEVER DATED OR INTENDED TO DATE YUVRAJ SINGH?”
The actress who was recently seen in an event for IPL bidding also added another post saying, “Comments like these are sexist & reek of cheapness at my place of work. Pls refrain from writing that YUVRAJ & PREITY were in a relationship”.
Preity is not the only Bollwood glitterati who came out in open in the recent times to raise voice against the media claiming to deliver the truth with their various news pieces.
In the recent past, actors like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan amongst many others have played the balls in their respective courts. And to some extent, the credit of being vocal online against ‘irresponsible journalism' goes to Deepika Padukone whose ‘cleavage controversy' with a leading daily created quite a stir the last year.
