Allahabad, Feb 10: Bollywood actor Preity Zinta took a holy dip today on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya at the Kumbh Mela here. Undertaking a vow of silence (Maun Vrata), Preity went to Swami Chidananad Saraswati's camp at Sangam, and took part in the special pooja and sacred yagna for Ganga Action Parivar. Preity was in silence for the entire day until after her holy dip, following which she performed the sacred puja at the yagnashala. Swami Chidanand Saraswati said ‘This is a wonderful way to observe Mauni Amavasya. When we keep our senses silent, we can truly bathe not only our body, but also our inner soul with the purifying sacred waters of Ganga and Yamuna at the Sangam.'Swami Chidanand Saraswati is the founder of Ganga Action Parivar and president of Paramarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh.
