New Delhi: Yes, AIB Knockout roast was offered to one of the most controversial and Twitter's favourite Poonam Pandey but she turned it down with a big ‘NO'. Till here it would be amusing but once you read the reasons given by her while turning down the AIB's Gursimran Khamba and Tammay Bhat's offer is even shocking.
The ‘Nasha' actress who has consistently been uploading her sleazy pics and videos on the social networking sites denied accepting the offer since she finds the content of the show were demeaning to women, according to TOI.
“I have heard that AIB has been doing some good work, but then some of what I have seen wasn't really up my alley. The digital medium has been home for me over the last four years, but then I felt that I could not participate in something like this," the actress was quoted by the leading website as saying.
Well, that something, which most of you won't be able to digest. It's been five years, ever since she came in limelight for going nude for India's victory in 2011 World Cup, that Poonam Pandey is keeping her fans and followers on the social networking sites happy with her explicit content. No wonder that she doesn't mean to demean female fraternity while uploading sleazy pics but we are sure that most of the viewers surely don't know about her intentions.
As mentioned in the AIB mail to a leading daily, the actress' fans are mostly driven by her sensual content that makes her one of the most downloaded actresses in B'town. And that is the one-sided image due to which she has faced a lot of trouble in one of the New Year events in 2013 where fans in crowd broke down the barricade and tried to grope her leaving her in the state of shock.
“Most people only know her for being sexy and beyond that there is very limited reach and connect with the audience. We feel if Ms. Pandey wants to connect to newer fans who will go beyond just the skin, she should engage in more informal gatherings," states the email from AIB.
AIB could have been a platform to show her different side but she missed that opportunity and in fact she continues to be what most of her fans think about her.
