New Delhi: Here it is. PK has created history at domestic box office setting a new club of Rs 300 cr - an astonishing milestone, which none of the other Bollywood biggies has ever achieved.

“PK sets a new benchmark. Crosses Rs 300 cr. HIGHEST GROSSER EVER [Hindi]. First Hindi film to attain this remarkable status”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

In its third week too, the movie is keeping the cash registers ringing at box office at a great phenomenon. The Aamir Khan starrer on its third Sunday made a brilliant earnings of Rs 11.58 cr to take its 17 days total to Rs 305.27 cr nett in India.

“#PK creates History. Crosses Rs 300 cr. [Week 3] Sun 11.58 cr. Grand total: Rs 305.27 cr nett. India biz. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER”, confirmed Adarsh.

What more can be expected from this movie, which is still working as a money-minting machine? Well, Rs 350 mark may be beyond its reach but some where near to the figure won't be a big deal for PK.

We are waiting for more records to be made but for now let's go back and take a look at the few milestones this movie has achieved so far. It's needless to mention that Dhoom 3 was standing as the biggest competitor for this Rajkumar Hirani directorial and most of the records by PK are set by beating those with which Dhoom 3 was ruling all the charts. So here follows the list.

Biggest collection on Christmas: The X-Mas holiday spilled magic for PK as extended queues outside the theatres and multiplexes were seen everywhere and as a result by the end of the day the movie made mind-boggling collection of Rs 29.46 cr. This is the highest Christmas Day total ever recorded. Earlier it was Aamir Khan's very own Dhoom 3, which made Rs 23.75 cr on the same day.

Biggest second weekend collection: PK might have marginally failed to break Dhoom 3's one week total of Rs 185.50 cr but it made sure that comparatively its second weekend may go better. The positive reviews and word of mouth played the trick and the movie made brilliant collection of Rs 54.11 cr in its second weekend beating Dhoom 3 by huge difference of Rs 12.61 cr.

Biggest grosser of the year 2014: With just ten days total of Rs 236.50 cr, PK ruled over the charts of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Till here, Salman Khan's ‘Kick' was at the top with its lifetime collection of Rs 233 cr nett in India.

Biggest Bollywood grosser ever: The Aamir Khan starrer within just fifteen days of its release defeated Dhoom 3's lifetime domestic collection of Rs 281 cr nett in India. The movie made a staggering collection of Rs 285.02 cr becoming Bollywood's biggest blockbuster of all time.

Biggest Bollywood worldwide collection: At worldwide platform too, PK broke Dhoom 3's record of Rs 542 cr gross, which was the biggest ever collection by any Bollywood flick. PK till date has earned Rs 573 cr gross worldwide and is way ahead of Aamir Khan's 2013 action-drama. Rs 600 cr mark is for sure achievable.

First Hindi flick to enter Rs 300 cr mark: This was the one every spectator was hoping and every trade pundit was predicting for. By yesterday i.e., January 4, the movie hit the triple ton yet again with the trio of Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra who gave Bollywood Rs 200 cr club five year back in the name of 3 Idiots.

Not to forget that the days are enough and counting is still on. So, keep expecting the unexpected as the record book in still open for this gold-striker. Let's see what else it has in store for box office.
