New Delhi: A tornado called PK is demolishing every humoungous record coming its way. The movie has collected mammoth Rs 433 cr worldwide within ten days of its release destroying Shah Rukh-Deepika Padukone's last year's release ‘Chennai Express' (Rs 422 cr gross) to take the second spot in all time biggest grossers' list.
Dhoom 3 is ruling the charts with its lifetime collection of Rs 542 cr gross worldwide but it won't take much time to get annihilated by PK which a running at a great pace at box office.
Now looking at its nett collection, PK with second Sunday's earning of Rs 21.85 cr has topped the chart of 2014's biggest grossers. Salman Khan's ‘Kick' was ruling with its lifetime collection of Rs 233 cr which is brought to number two by PK whose ten days total is Rs 236.58 cr nett, according to leading daily Koimoi.
This is the fastest ten days collection for any Bollywood flick. Last year release Dhoom 3 follows PK in the race which made Rs 227 cr. Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 whose collection was Rs 206.25 by this time is at number three. Salman Khan's Kick takes the fourth spot with Rs 198 cr nett collection in India within ten days of its release. Chennai Express is racing at number five with Rs 180.60 nett earning while Happy New Year goes out of top five to place itself at number six Rs 180.50 cr.
Now with New Year holidays around, this Rajkumar Hirani directorial is expected to surpass Dhoom 3 lifetime nett collection of Rs 280 cr and even it may go on to open the new club for Bollywood i.e., Rs 300 cr club.
According to a leading daily, it's observed that the theatres and multiplexes are getting a repeated audience for the movie. Since, PK is a family entertainer it comes up as the number one choice for enjoyment and celebration.
