Chennai: Nushrat Bharucha, who is making her Tamil debut with forthcoming comedy "Valeba Raja", says she wished she had more time to learn and understand the language to emote well in the film.
"I feel you can't emote without knowing a language even if you memorise your lines. How can you emote without understanding what you're saying? I can say a line in Hindi and every word has a different emotion. You can't just sound happy, angry or sad....when you're saying a line, you need to feel it," Nushrat told IANS.
"Every word has a different tone and feeling attached to it. If you have to say these words, you have to feel them from within. I wish I had more time to learn and understand my lines because it would have helped me to emote well (better)," she said.
Directed by Sai Gokul Ramnath, "Valeba Raja" also features Sethu, Vishakha Singh and Santhanam in lead roles.
