Hyderabad: Legendary Telugu actor and late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao's grandson Nandamuri Janakiram died in a road accident in Nalgonda district of Telangana Saturday evening.
Janakiram, a film producer, is the son of veteran actor Nandamuri Harikrishna, who is also a leader of Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
Police said the accident occurred when Janakiram's car collided with a tractor near Akupamala village in Munagala mandal of Nalgonda district.
He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Kodad, where he succumbed.
Janakiram was on his way to Vijayawada from Hyderabad when the accident occurred. He was driving the vehicle and was alone.
He is survived by his wife and son, was recently selected as child actor for a Telugu film.
Janakiram used to produce films under the banner of NTR Arts.
