New Delhi: Following the footsteps of Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will soon debut in an international film, sharing screen space with Academy Award winner actress Nicole Kidman.
The actor who got huge critical acclamation with his role in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur' is reportedly in talks with the makers of an Australian-Indian film. Garth Davis, who had co-directed Golden Globe Award winning mini series ‘Top of the Lake', will helm the project.
A report by a leading daily suggested that he has already signed the film but has restrained himself from any comment before any official announcement by makers. Last seen in ‘Kick', Nawazuddin is currently shooting in Rajasthan for Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. He will start working on the project once he finishes the shooting.
Yet to be titled film is said to be an onscreen adaptation of ‘A Long Way Home', an autobiography of Saroo Brierley who searched for his biological mother for 25 years. The author was separated from his mother at an early age and was adopted by an Australian family.
Other actors to star in the film are Dev Patel, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Deepti Naval.
The film will be shot extensively in India and Australia.
