New Delhi: Nawazuddin Siddiqui has re-defined Bollywood's villain who requires no beefy body but just appropriate cruel attitude to challenge the protagonist. The intensity and brutality the actor has portrayed in his past flicks has been so imposing that the big names like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are roping him in their flicks.

Siddiqui's journey which is going to have many more big Bollywood projects hasn't been an easy. From stereotypical roles in movies namely Sarfarosh, the short film namely ‘Bypass' to playing tormenting characters in flicks like Aatma and Badlapur, the actor has witnessed a major transformation with lot of tussle.

There were days when the actor didn't have single penny to afford his room rent, yet managing it somehow he continued his struggle in Bollywood with stereotypical roles.

The struggle paid him off one day when Anurag Kashyap's ‘Black Friday' was offered to him. This paved him way for some powerful roles. The actor himself loves to admit that Anurag realized his caliber and helped him make what he is now.

However, the actor made an appearance in numerous flicks but the roles he played were quite adverse from ‘Black Friday'. ‘Peepli Live', ‘New York', ‘Talaash' were flicks in which the actor was noticed and claimed recognition but he wasn't taken seriously. His role as a short-tempered investigating officer in ‘Kahaani' too brought him in notice.

But it was now or never condition for the actor to make the world realize how brutal and intense could he be onscreen. It was again Anurag Kashyap whose ‘Gangs of Wasseypur' happened and paved a platform for him to excel to the fullest. Nawaz nailed it as a man who fears nothing and doesn't allow his lean body to be his weakness. He showed his crazy side with a rustic touch. And thereafter there was no stopping for him.

While he kept his interest of doing critical flicks (Lunchbox and Miss Lovely) intact fit for the niche audience and noted film festivals, the actor post Gangs of Wasseypur was mostly offered negative roles by big banners of Bollywood.

Bipasha Basu's horror-thriller Aatma besides being a thriller was about a psycho husband and dangerous father. And Nawaz outshined all with his hard-hitting performance.

His biggest ticket to reach the masses was none other than last year's ‘Kick' where again he played a negative role and gave the lead star Salman Khan a run for the money.

And now if the trailer of Badlapur is anything to go by then Nawaz is ready to steal the show by replicating his ‘Gangs of Wasseypur's crazy side.  The actor looks brutal and outrageous like always and would be seen pissing off the lead actor Varun Dhawan in the flick.

No matter what other roles Siddiqui performs, he has clearly anointed himself as Bollywood's new era villain now. He is easily becoming the most wanted actor fit for negative roles and has also caught A-listers like Shah Rukh-Salman's attention.

Nawaz's next films include Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees where he will once again show his nasty piece of work.

Well, we wish him all the success for Badlapur and other big projects that are lined up for him.
