New Delhi: The evergreen actress Nanda's death has spread a wave of shock and despair all over. Yesteryear actress Saira Banu who shared a great rapport with late actress couldn't believe the news.
Recalling her days with 75-year old Nanda's, Saira, in a media interaction revealed that “I am shocked to hear that. We used to chat on phone and on her birthday, I gifted a dress. Co-incidentally Nanda wore the same dress while she suffered a heart attack.
According to reports Nanda suffered a massive cardiac arrest while she was coming out of her bathroom in her Andheri residence early morning today. She fell and passed away at that very moment.
Saira also told that, “She was healthy till yesterday. Helen had informed me about her health. I last spoke with her on Saturday when she sounded fine. She was just going through a pain in her leg and was absolutely fine. It has come as a shock to Asha Parekh too as we happened to discuss her just yesterday.”
Saira also revealed that ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile actress never wanted to see the face of the hospital. May be because of this her immortal soul decided to leave her body at that very important.
Her last rites will be performed at 4 pm at the Oshiwari crematorium today.
