Mumbai: Actor Nana Patekar, who will be next seen in Anees Bazmee's comedy “Welcome Back”, said his next directorial venture is going to be a biopic. “I am directing a film which is a biopic. I can't talk about it. There is a girl (in the film) and she is the main character. I would go to hunt for locations soon.. I would be going to Kathmandu,” said the actor.
There were reports that Nana might direct the third instalment of crime drama “Ab Tak Chhappan”. When asked about it, he said, “If I get to direct, it will be my story and if I get to do everything then I'll direct.. Else there is lot of interference. I want to do it on my own.”
Beside directing, Nana said he would also like to venture into production. “There are certain kind of films you want to do. I am coming up with my production house. My son will be producing the films. We would be making serious kind of films,” the 64-year-old actor said.
The veteran actor turned director with 1991 release “Prahar: The Final Attack” that starred Dimple Kapadia, Madhuri Dixit, Habib Tanveer and Gautam Joglekar. “I would not be part of every film that he (his son) would produce. You cast as per your requirement whether it does well or not, is not my concern,” the “Parinda” actor said.
“I have been acting till now… Earning money so now you make money. I don't guide him. Today's kids do things what they want to do it,” he said.Subscribe to me on YouTube
